I’ve had a few readers telling me they’ve gotten malicious code warnings and seen other signs of mischievous intent on the part of some script or other, so I decided to give the server space a clean-out and reinstall everything afresh.

While doing so I also decided to update the theme and change the header image.  For anyone that’s interested, the photo was taken in November 2008 at Borocay’s White Beach as the sun was setting.  The full version can be seen here.

  1. Much better. I thought you might have ceased blogging as nothing updated for a few months in my RSS reader; until I saw the 5p-bag post linked to from TW’s place, and realised that something just hadn’t been working. This morning, all missing posts have appeared in the reader, so that suggests your clean-out has sorted it. Thanks; and keep writing!

  2. @ Anon,

Great, I didn’t realise the RSS feed was broken too. Welcome back!

    @ PeteC,

Thanks for the heads up…now I’ve had a look at the redirect file, I see that was one of the ones which appears to have been hacked! I’ve sorted it now.

  3. Ah, that would explain the sports goods spamming – a hacked htaccess file would do that.
