St. David’s Day

Happy St. David’s Day to all Welshmen.  Sadly, I have been unable to find a daffodil in Dubai, nor a leek which could be attached to my shirt.

  1. George Hargraves says:

I thought leeks were worn in your hat.

After three months of frost there is no sign of daffodils in the Midlands yet.

    Enjoy the day.

  2. My Welsh companion and I had a lovely time at The St. David’s Ball in Dubai. You missed a lovely do. Hate to name just one highlight, but if I must it was the Emirati who led the toasts in Arabic, Welsh, and English. My companion reported that the gentleman’s Welsh was impeccable.

Unfornately, the same cannot be said for the man from the British Consul who also was given the opportunity to communicate the well wishes of the Crown.
