White Sun of the Desert is my personal blog, which takes its name from the English translation of the famous 1970 Soviet film Beloe Solntse Pustyni. The contents of this blog are my own personal views and don’t represent those of my employer or anyone else.

I play and sing bluegrass on the guitar and banjo, practice photography, watch obscure films, read books, ski, hike, and watch football, rugby, and cricket on TV.

In January 2018 I self-published my first novel Window on a Burning Man, and am currently writing another. In October 2018 I launched my podcast (available on iTunes here).
