A few days ago an Italian of Senegalese origin attempted to set fire to a bus full of schoolchildren in retaliation for the government’s immigration policies. It took a while for the mainstream media to get around to reporting on it in any depth, presumably because it took time to identify the sort of hero they’re after:

It’s funny how the media always finds the right sort of hero when covering these events, isn’t it? And when do we all dress up as pizza slices?

  7. It doesn’t matter. Here in Italy the media called it right the first time, and the public got the message.

    It was about a year ago that a savage butchered a pretty teen, and you could feel the mood hardening again – it wasn’t soft to begin with. A few months later La Lega became the main component of a popular government, and Matteo Salvini has mostly had his way on immigration matters.

    The next step is getting the savages out, and I wonder if that is the government’s next step.
