Jihad Fatigue

I haven’t got much to say about the terrorist attacks in Brussels, mainly because I said everything in the wake of the Paris attacks in November 2015 and January 2015.

Last time I was angry.  Now I stifle a yawn.  It seems a regular attack on a major European city is just going to become part of modern life.  I have jihad fatigue.  Wake me up when a politician that matters says something new on the subject.

  1. Yep: bof.
Also, the French ‘state of emergency’ will be extended in perpetuity now. I’d be surprised if it was lifted by the end of the year, and by then it’ll be considered the ‘new normal’.

  2. Strange isn’t it,i have not bothered to even look at the news today,we just know the only action taken will be a plethora of damned hashtags and idiotic politicians and hangers on walking down a street behind a dopey banner. As a great man wrote,a plague on both their houses.

  3. I was in a shop yesterday and a woman said “we sow what we reap”. There didn’t seem much point in saying that Belgium took no part in invading Iraq or bombing Libya. Maybe she meant letting in masses of Moslems. Who knows?

And a rush by cartoonists to draw the “one” that becomes symbolic of the atrocity.
