A few years ago I was on holiday in Portuguese Algarve, in a city called (guess what!) – Lagos. The locals told me this is an original Lagos from where their explorer-king had sailed to Africa and founded the Lagos #2 you are in now. They even had a statue to him erected on a main placa. Have no idea if that’s true, here’s a chance for you to find out.

The credit card/passports con make more understandable the infamous “Nigerian scams”.

Oh, and Nigerian civil engineers were very likely trained in Russia – there is a conveyor of foreign students from “friendly” countries in the Institute of Patris Lumumba…
